We’ll see your trainees through from beginning to end with programmes from first to final year covering all the SAICA competencies - this includes tailored audit training.
We’ve developed a learning curriculum through which all the required SAICA competencies (expected to be demonstrated throughout articles) are covered in 4 learning interventions, each a week long. Each intervention is specifically structured to flow into the next, building on the skills acquired previously.
Technical and professional skills are prepared in modules and then built into a tailor-made solution specific to your firm’s needs. We also take into consideration your trainees and the level of the skills you require from them. This is what we suggest…
1. THE BASICS(Audit Foundation Programme)
We deliver a basic understanding about how and why an audit is conducted and how to gather audit evidence. Participants should be able to apply these audit principles to certain accounts.
2. THE BUILDING BLOCKS(Audit Building Programme)
The basic audit principles are now applied to a range of different account balances, including how to test for the appropriate design & implementation and effective operating of controls.
3. INTEGRATION(Audit Integration Programme)
Knowledge and understanding of audit planning concepts are integrated to enable participants to develop an audit plan and be able to apply these concepts to the auditing of complex account balances.
4. CONCLUSION(Audit Conclusions Programme)
Participants are prepared for a senior role on an audit with the professional skills necessary to more effectively supervise and manage staff, and with technical knowledge and skills to effectively wrap up an audit and manage meetings with clients.
